NICELY PRICED
Being a first generation offering, the Sony SmartWatch SW1 is now priced accordingly, considering some of the newer models available with updated tech., and this Gen I SmartWatch has some really cool features for the price, including checking who’s calling your phone, reading texts, reviewing to do lists, and checking the weather,. Is your phone ringing at the theater? Silence your phone via your SmartWatch without having to contort myself to dig it out of your pants pocket or bend hunt for your purse.
The SmartWatch SW1 isn’t perfect; some reviews have mentioned that it loses connection easily. Others have been frustrated that not only is the charging connection not the USB industry standard, but seems to get disconnected without much effort. There’s also been mention of the display getting washed out in sunlight. Still at around almost half of its original price, you are not breaking the bank to enter the Android Smartwatch realm. Plus Sony has moved the SW1 to its new Smart Connect software and updated the official SmartWatch app, so the performance and stability are greatly improved from the original offering of the SW1.
