Many consider the Motorola Moto 360 the best available smartwatch. Elegant (particularly compared to other offerings) and extremely light (49g without the band) it combines great looks with a lot of features. The Moto 360 stainless steel body has a beveled edge, and so does the Gorilla Glass 3 over the face making the surface appear to sit on top of the watch. The back of the plastic is less elegant but this likely helps it keep the overall weight of the watch to a minimum.

Located on the bottom of the display is a small ambient light sensor – this assists the watch with battery life, helping it to choose how bright to display the screen. The Moto 360 has a heart rate monitor that while not on all the time, is easy enough to actuate with a voice command, and is handy for exercising. (Voice Command is also used to start apps and Google Now Voice Search).

The Qi style charger that the 360 utilizes means you can simply drop it on the charging cradle; no need to connect it to some proprietary cable like the Sony SW1. You can also use any other standard Qi charger, such as this one from Vority.

The Motorola 360 watch has one metal, crown button on the right hand side for toggling the display on or off, or hold and press for watch settings. Like other Android Wear devices, the watch display is a touch screen and reacts to up/down, left/right swiping.

While most other Android Wear watches remain in Ambient mode all the time, (lower brightness based on the available light, black & white screen), the Motorola 360 by default is in “Ambient Mode Off”, rendering the watch face blank (and helping to extend battery life) until you lift your wrist to look at it.
